Kevin obtained is Real Estate Broker license and joined Grissom Schmitz Realty Inc. in Pana early in 2023 as a full time realtor. He graduated from Pana High School and went on to graduate from Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis where he earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science specializing in auto and diesel mechanics. Kevin worked at Taylorville Correctional Center as both a Correctional Officer and a Correctional Food Service Supervisor II, retiring in 2015. He also owned, operated and managed several businesses in his lifetime. The most recent was a pressure washing company “Power House Wash” and “Schmitz Estates” which consisted of apartment buildings and rental homes. He has been a bee keeper for many years and currently keeps 9 to 12 colonies in his apiary. Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is a faithful member of St Louis Catholic Church in Nokomis where he performs the duties of the sacristan and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
